Breathtaking scenery surrounds my home from all sides, from the ocean and beaches to the north shore mountains, to Mount Baker on a clear day.
We're located at the bottom of "up-and-coming trendy" Lonsdale Ave in North Vancouver, B.C. Canada. All rooms suitable for non smokers.
ALL AMENITIES: Starbucks, restaurants, trendy boutiques, cafes, grocery, liquor store, pharmacy, Lonsdale Quay Market and shopping mall, The Pier, parks and the seabus to downtown all within 5-10 minutes walking distance.
Public transportation is literaly at my front door. Within 5 feet of my front steps.
Hiking and walking trails within minutes at our local mountains such as Lynn Valley in North Vancouver. We offer a friendly environment and a Canadian family experience. Our packages include 2 or 3 meals, access to laundry, access to a computer with internet, wireless internet, access to a telephone and more...

I have two - three bed rooms to rent. The first room has a large queen size sleigh bed with beautiful cherry wood furniture. It also has a sofa/bed for extra guests...possiblly perfect for a small family. It has just been repainted light blue and beige with chocolate brown accents. It has it's own ensuite with shower, toilet and sink. It has a large walk in closet, a small refrigerator for snacks, TV with cable, wireless internet and a telephone. Second room has a queen size cannon ball brass bed with large window that opens, large closet, desk/vanity table with vanity chair. The room is pale green and burgandy accents. It has a small refrigerator for snacks, TV with cable, wireless internet, telephone and shared bathroom with tub/shower toilet and sink. The 3rd room has a single brass bed for one person. The room has a large window that opens, large closet, desk with hutch and chair. This room is a pale green with chocolate brown accents. It also has a small refrigerator for snacks, TV with cable, wireless internet, telephone and shared bathroom with tub/shower, toilet and sink.

My name is Lynn and I am 55 yrs old this Christmas I have a small dog (2 kilo) named Cody. I am a full time crew dispatcher for a tugboat company here in Vancouver. I crew the Captains, Mates and engineers on to the boats. I have had the opportuntity to host homestay students from all around the world for approx 14 years now. My Children are 20 and 21 years old, so I don't see them very much because of their busy lives, university, work and friends. I have a boyfriend of 5 years now and he is quite the social butterfly. He loves to meet people from around the world as I do. He loves to talk and learn and eat and dance. We go out dancing 2 - 3 times a week and our homestay guests are always more than welcome to join us.My boyfriend Bruce does not live here with us...only visits for the occasional meal. I only host female students so we are comfortable here at all times. I have two - three rooms to rent out for short stays or long stays...depends on my availability. I hope to offer all the home comforts and a more personal atmosphere, a chance to practice english and generally learn about the Canadian way of life. While the guest or student may not be a real member of my family, the aim is to include them and make them as welcome and comfortable in my home as possible. I feel it can be a rewarding experience to allow a foreign visitor to share in my lifestyle and in return I can hope for a thoughtful guest who is willing to adapt to local customs and to the routine of the household. This turns out to be a good experience for both parties.
